       Michael Craig enters his second season on the Red Flash coaching staff after wrapping up a stellar four-year playing career in Loretto. He assisted with the linebackers last season, but will oversee them as the linebackers coach in 2007. Additionally, Craig will serve as the Special Teams Coach and the Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2007.

       Craig made an immediate impact as an assistant linebackers coach last season. Marcus Hutton had a breakout year with 37 tackles, including four for loss. Three linebackers finished in the top five in tackles on the team.

            Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting in May 2006, and is currently working on his master’s degree.

            Craig was a four-year starter while playing for head coach Dave Opfar, and served as a team captain in 2006. He finished with 62 tackles despite missing playing time with an injury. He led the team with nine tackles-for-loss, and was tied for the team lead with two sacks.
