For decades, Saint Francis University has recognized our supporters in giving clubs. Donors have been recognized in the following clubs: Founders Club, President’s Circle, Allegheny Circle, Evergreen Club and the Tower Club. Our recognition clubs were established to honor the important role that donors play in our success and to inspire new levels of philanthropy. For the first time in more than twenty-five years, we are revising our recognition opportunities to better recognize our donors of all levels and interests. We have revised membership requirements, added three new recognition levels, renamed two levels, and added recognition for five years of consecutive giving. Our revisions reflect careful study including benchmarking with peer institutions. Please read on for a description of each recognition level. As always, Donor recognition is based on the University’s fiscal year which runs from July1 through June 30. For questions regarding our revised recognition levels, please contact Marie Melusky, Director of Development at 814-472-3122 or mmelusky@francis.edu Leadership Societies Leadership Society members are stewards of excellence and play a vital role in the life and well-being of Saint Francis University. Why join a Leadership Society? Most alumni, parents and friends join a society because they believe in the impact and promise of a Saint Francis University education. They recognize the role that the University plays in shaping the lives of today’s students who will be tomorrow’s leaders. Investing in Saint Francis at the leadership level requires a commitment to and close relationship with the University. Alumni of the University know first-hand the promise of Saint Francis education: a mind for excellence, a heart for service, and a spirit for peace and justice. Others have seen the Saint Francis University experiences through a son or daughter, a grandchild, or a friend. All join a society to demonstrate their high regard and appreciation for the University. - Assisi Society recognizes the enduring influences of our patron, Saint Francis of Assisi, on the University. The top-tier of the University’s leadership societies, members of the Assisi Society share in the University’s Franciscan ideals and values. Through their annual support of gifts $10,000 or more, members ensure that the University continues as a leader in Catholic higher education.
- Founders Society recognizes and celebrates the courage and work of the six Franciscan Friars who left family and country to establish a new community of faith and prayer in Loretto. Members of the Founders Society embrace the mission and vision of the University and help the University make a significant difference in the world today.
- Presidents’ Society recognizes the contributions and dedicated work of all University presidents. Each University president has left his mark on the character of this great institution. Donors in the President’s society help shape the character of the University today and tomorrow.
- 1847 Legacy Society recognizes the enduring value of education. It celebrates the vision of the founding friars who laid the foundation for what is now Saint Francis University. Like our founding friars, donor who support the University through bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance, and other planned vehicles, are building a foundation for future generations. Legacy society gifts help the University fulfill its promise of a high-quality education grounded in our Franciscan values.
